Historical architecture in Sai Ying Pun

For the past fortnight, I came here a couple of times intentionally. Seventy years ago, my Mum gave me birth here - the old Tsan Yuk Maternity Hospital. On 12 Jan, 2025, I visited its inside and imagined what was it like when my life began.

Western District Community Centre was the former Tsan Yuk Maternity Hospital, and the building is full of style. The half spiral staircase is rare can be found in Hong Kong.

Never walked in here having lived in SYP for years. Granted most of those years were affected by COVID-19. Turns out this place offers a wide range of super affordable courses for children and adults alike. They're old school and require you to fill out paper forms and pay in cash. But friendly and quick staff.
