Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel

We loved our stay!! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had an incident just before arriving and they did everything they could to support us.

The views, location and surroundings were all fantastic. Our room and its spacious terrace made us feel home.

The bathrooms could use a bit of modernisation but honestly, they are already perfectly fine as they are.

This is a great place, it is part of a community with private residences, a yacht club, and a piazza with numerous restaurants. From the hotel to the piazza it is about a 10 minute walk.

The rooms are spacious, clean, cool and comfortable. The hotel's common area is very large, cool with plenty of seating and comfortable. The Lagoon Cafe is great for lunch with good food.

On our first visit to Hong Kong, we stayed at this hotel for a few hours - we got a dayuse room - as a place to relax before our flight to Sri Lanka. However, because of how wonderful and accommodating this hotel is we chose to stay at this hotel upon our return to Hong Kong.

I can't stress enough how welcoming and accommodating this hotel and it's staff is. After a very long overnight flight we were tired and just wanted to shower and rest; we showed up at the hotel figuring that we could drop our luggage off and do something until the 3pm check in time, however, they were able to check us into our room 6 hours earlier without any extra charge. Extra charge or not, just having a room to accommodate us was wonderful.

I acknowledge that my review and opinion is somewhat based on seasonal availability and location, but other hotels (not as nice and comfortable as this) were not as flexible and accommodating. They were very strict with the check in time during the same visiting season.

The hotel shuttle bus is such a frustrating experience. It started with boarding the bus at TST, I called front desk multiple times to ask where to board and the staff gave such a generic answer. I ended up asking a local tour guide at the bus termal and he pointed me to "front of Pacific Hotel" (thank you!!)

Leaving the hotel is also such a nightmare. Turns out I have to reserve the bus because it's full. Why couldn't you tell me 2h ago when I was checking out?? Now I have to wait another 2h and my toddler and I are both so tired already. Plus this shuttle bus isn't even free.

Aside from this awful experience, everything else is fine. The restaurant staff and the cleaning staff are great. The hotel is big and spacious, lots to play for a toddler. Love the beach beside the hotel (not even 5min walk!)
The food is ok and the price is ok. All in all good, minus the shuttle bus service.

Not a good reception on arrival at the front desk from the 2 guys working that evening .We've had amazing service from 2 other hotels in Hong Kong on this same trip.

The hotel needs a good face-lift, very old and dated. Bed and bedding was lovely .
Bathrooms not the best , shower over bath is not ideal .

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with our two boys. The location was perfect — being so close to the beach meant we could easily choose between a refreshing swim in the pool or fun at the seaside. The kids loved having that variety, and it made our days feel effortless.

The hotel itself was lovely, with plenty of scenic walking paths around the property that made for relaxing strolls in the evenings. Everything felt family-friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was calm yet vibrant.

For anyone who enjoys water activities, this is an ideal spot in summer — whether you’re into swimming, beach walks, or simply soaking up the coastal vibe. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to families and water lovers alike.
