Kong Wai was an extremely talented photographer. From the moment we first met to the gorgeous wedding day shoot, he made us feel relaxed and natural. He was very clear in all his correspondence before the wedding and arrived early on the day and was really careful about giving us all space without missing any important moments. His photos, absolutely perfect and flawless – we got married on very sunny day in September, thank god we had picked Kong Wai to captured raw emotions of the day from tears through to roaring laughter were outstanding. Also, we are glad that he returned the fine-tune photos expeditiously, all our friends and family were complimenting the photos.

We have just received our photo book, which is beautiful with high quality paper and we love it very much. We would therefore like to thank Kong Wai and say a few words about his amazing work.

As soon as we found Kong Wai’s website, his natural and elegant style caught our eyes. At our first meeting with him, Kong Wai impressed us with his previous works and we knew we would like him to be our photographer.

We enjoyed a great engagement shoot with Kong Wai. He not only created gorgeous images with artistic compositions but also captured our interactions and personality. Both of us are not great posers, but Kong Wai made us feel comfortable and did well to guide us through the photo shoot.

Thanks God for showing me History Studio's website one day when I was doing the research. The first time we looked at his profile / albums, we got attracted by his naturalistic, storytelling kind of presentation and this is exactly how we want to capture our big day!

The first meet up with Kong Wai was smooth and casual. He showed us a few sample albums that he did previously and they are all gorgeous works! I was surprised by the great quality & design of the album. It makes a lot of sense after he told us that he has a graphic design background. Without any hesitation, we decided to pick him for our big day!

On our wedding day, Kong Wai and his team showed their professionalism and totally fit in to the busy schedule that we had. The team is always around to make sure they can capture all of the important moments.

After the wedding, we received a really nice in house design USB from Kong Wai in 3 months without any delay! The perfect “Story Book” has also arrived in another month. He did not let us down as all photos are fantastic! He is such a gifted photographer who can capture great emotions of people.

We just wanted to take a few moments to share with you our experience with Kong Wai and his team.

My husband is an avid lover of photography and we have been following Kong Wai's blog for over 3 years now. We loved his soft, naturalistic style of storytelling, and were in particular impressed by the set of maternity photos he took of his wife.

When it was time for us to plan our wedding, we wanted to find vendors who understood what we wanted, a heartfelt ceremony that would convey our feelings and emotions to our loved ones. While we had to spend some time locating the other vendors, we had no doubt that we wanted Kong Wai, with his naturalistic style, as our wedding day photographer.

Kong Wai impressed us from the start, beginning from his request to hold a meeting to discuss what we were looking for, which we thought was very professional and indeed a vital step in getting to know each other and whether we were a good fit for each other.

On the day of the wedding, Kong Wai and his team were extremely hard-working (despite our intense morning to evening schedule!) and were always around to capture the key moments. While we were too busy to plan any shots of just the two of us, Kong Wai made sure to pull us away for a few minutes to create a couple of the best images of us (even if it meant him getting into strange places to get the most artistic angles and compositions!) - for which we are very grateful.

After the wedding, Kong Wai was very willing to work with us to meet our schedule. We received our photos a few days ago (in a very thoughtful and sweet little USB), and he has not disappointed indeed. Kong Wai is truly a photographer gifted with the ability to capture genuine emotion. His ability to use natural light creates such soft, gentle and beautiful images, even when he is not able to work as freely as usual (unfortunately our church had numerous restrictions). Having had to rush through the different parts of the day myself, I'm so grateful that Kong Wai was able to retain all our memorable moments for us in his beautiful form of art and way of storytelling.

It goes without saying, but we highly highly recommend Kong Wai and his team!!

We are so very grateful to have Kong Wai and his dedicated team for our pre-wedding and big day. Both were fantastic experiences with the results managing to exceed the highest of our expectations.

We first chanced upon History Studio's stylish website and went through almost all the entries all the way back to 2010. We instantly felt that Kong Wai was the photographer for us. It was evident that his photos possessed a consistent and timeless quality - a naturalness. Here was a real story-teller, an artist, rather than a simple professional at work.

Our experience of Kong Wai has not just been through fantastic photos, but also through his consideration and patience, given we had to wait for several weekends through Hong Kong's rainy season for a chance to shoot our pre-wedding. He fully accommodated our schedule, despite his baby girl being close to on her way, and delivered everything as planned. It was also a fun pre-wedding experience as we trekked all the way around Lamma Island and enjoyed a great seafood feast at the end of it all.

The best, however, was undoubtedly saved for our big day - not just in our opinion, but as agreed by all our friends and family. Photos speak. Emotions flow. Kong Wai captured every detail from his unique angle as a true artist. And the most amazing thing was, his shots are so natural and uncontrived that for many of them we hardly knew there was a camera.

It's also worth mentioning his consideration and attention to detail. We loved the personalised delivery of the final product (a USB containing all the photos in our case, but much more than that!), and we will leave out the details so each couple can have that as a lovely surprise!
